Hi Dad,
Just happened upon your blog entry about KIDS LOVE VIRGINIA. As the co-author, I appreciated your quest for even more filters to catagorize by cost, age, etc. To be honest, we've already invested 1,000 hours in that one book alone and still charge around $15.00 for it! Would you consider a fee-added service online? We'd have to pay someone to log and update our database to provide that service and maintain it. Most we talk to at consumer conventions and radio call-ins would rather not pay more and use different colored highlighters to mark their book according to specific parameters such as cost or seasonal activities. We don't put age suggestions anymore as it varies by family and we always tip you off (look at Miscellaneous notes) if a place favors much younger or older kids. Our goal is to provide the insights not found anywhere else (we've been to 5,000 places kid-testing)but leave the 20 minute quick planning to you and yours.

A Neuton battery is virtually 100% recyclable. It is a sealed lead-acid absorbed glass matt (AGM) battery, very similar to what you'll find in your car. Over 90% of these types of batteries are already recycled in the USA. The lead, the battery acid and the plastic are all seperated from one another, washed, refurbished and used in new batteries. Yes, the U.S. sucks!

In good news, Austin Energy re-opened the GreenChoice program to more customers. I guess they got more wind turbines put up. They also started a Power Saver program where you volunteer to decrease energy use during peak times up to 10 times during the summer.
